ABOUT ME
This is a space to showcase my experience and skills in the field of GIS, from student to intern to GIS Professional. I have included a few projects I have worked on, essential technologies I have learned, and the impact of my work. Through this platform, I aim to demonstrate my passion for GIS and highlight examples of why I enjoy GIS.
Currently I am employed with Jacobs Solutions as an Entry Level GIS Professional. Working at Jacobs has helped me grow my skillset as I work with many people on various projects across a broad geographical area.
I will graduate in December 2024 with a Masters Certificate in GIS from the University of West Florida (UWF). In returning to school after many years, I was able to update GIS skills and land a great job with great people.
Embark on a journey through my experiences with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), from my student projects at the University of West Florida to professional accomplishments at my current job with Jacobs Solutions. I have a true passion for geospatial analysis and its multiple applications.
Early projects laid the foundation for my understanding while furthering my growth and interest in GIS which would shape my career. As I transitioned into the professional world I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of GIS-related projects. Each one offering unique challenges and learning experiences, from mapping city and county-wide critical assets to analyzing environmental hazard data for resiliency compliance. These experiences not only honed my technical skills but also deepened my appreciation for the real-world applications of GIS.
Throughout my brief career, I have learned more of how GIS proves to be an invaluable tool in many circumstances. My journey with GIS is a testament to my dedication and enthusiasm for this field.
